CPT requires students to apply each semester, and students need to ensure that their GPA is at least 3.0 during the semester they are enrolled in the program. If the GPA is below 3.0, the student will receive an Academic Warning, and the student will still be able to apply for CPT for the semester that he/she is in the Academic Wanning. However, if the total GPA does not rise to 3.0 for two consecutive semesters, the student will be subject to academic probation and the CPT will be canceled.

CPT is a mandatory course required by the school. All students are required to take a minimum of one semester of INT501 or INT599 as a 0-credit internship course or they will not be eligible for graduation. Students may also choose to take up to 6 semesters (2 years) of internships.

Students may take one CPT course per semester in the Experiential Internship Course, which allows students to obtain CPT work authorization.

UPDATE: Starting Spring 1, 2024, CIAM will begin a new Professional format of attending classes once a semester for two days at a time. Saturday 9am-9pm + Sunday 9am-2pm.

CIAM California Institute of Advanced Management (CIAM) offers a 36-credit graduate program in a Hybrid format, 3 semesters per year, with 6 credits (2 courses) per semester, one online and one onsite course. 

CPT Programs at CIAM

Westcliff University offers Day 1 CPT Programs during three vibrant semesters: Fall, Spring, and Summer. Each semester, international students are required to enroll in a minimum of two courses (equivalent to 6 credits), which includes one online course and one hybrid course.

GoElite Scholarship 

Goelite is an official designated recruitment partner of CIAM. For the 2023-2024 academic year, and Goelite can assist in applying for up to $3,000 in scholarships for undergraduate or graduate students with a GPA of 3.8 or higher, a history of excellence in social work service, or entrepreneurial experience.

Note:Scholarship may only be used towards tuition at CIAM. Limit one per student, per household. The scholarship payment must be issued within the same academic year. Students can apply for as many CIAM scholarships as they are eligible for but will only be awarded one scholarship towards their MBA degree
